Geneva Research Collaboration (GRC) is a non-profit organization
dedicated to the promotion and development of innovative applications of
interdisciplinary research and education in natural and social
sciences.
The current research focus of GRC is concentrated on
mathematical and physical models applied to financial risk management and
forecasting. The applications rely on new conceptual model structures which are
developed into operational tools through the use of advanced computer
techniques.
The collaboration involves local partners and an
international network of affiliated institutions which are engaged in research
and development work of importance for realizing the objectives of GRC. The
current research has the objective to develop a local and international network
for excellence in financial research and
applications.
The partnership and network structure is presented in
the diagram together with an overview of the seminar activities, research
projects and information services.

Partnership
The local partners of GRC play an important
role in the development of Geneva as an international centre of
scientific and financial know-how.
Selected institutions around the
world are affiliated with GRC in an international research network which is
qualified to elucidate a wide range of critical
issues.
Seminar
activities
Periodic seminars with local and invited
speakers are organized at the University of Geneva and CERN to present new research
ideas and results as well as
overviews of different topics. The presentation may be given on different
levels of expertise, from general interdisciplinary introductions to advanced
research seminars.
Information
services
The partners of GRC and the
participants in the seminar activities are provided with timely research papers
and newletters which cover a broad range of current research areas and practical
problem issues.
On request, the international
network of GRC may be engaged rapidly in producing special research and
technology watch reports.
